@nkus Exxon maintained 2 carbon prices: a higher one externally, for shareholders; and a lower one internally, for planning. The lower internal price made investments in the dirty and expensive Canadian oil sands profitable. Rex Tillerson, then CEO, was reported to have supported this
@nkus This accounting practice wasn’t just terrible news for the climate, causing Exxon to sink billions into the Albertan oil sands. It was also terrible news for investors. As @nkus puts it: "Exxon's accounting practices cost shareholders between $476 million and $1.6 billion.” 3/
@nkus Why didn’t Exxon think it needed a higher internal carbon price? Perhaps they believed they could control the political process, limiting the costs from a bill like Waxman-Markey. That’s what @mmildenberger shows in his forthcoming book “Carbon Captured.”

October Evans has been masquerading as a 501(c)3 organization to steal money through well-meaning donations.

She started off doing this in the SW industry, and now she intends on preying on trans people.

Make sure people know who she is.
She has a history of stalking and harassing other SWers, attempting to convince them to do private shows with her and becoming aggressive when they reject her.

She's claiming to gather money for a queer commune.

She should never be in charge of someone's living situation.
She originally told me she deleted her Twitter account because she was being stalked but it was probably an attempt to avoid revealing her real identity to me.

I assume it was because she didn't realize that @FoenixCollectiv wasn't just a platforming site.

#FDR promoted the idea that the people of the world, in all nations, shared entitlement to four freedoms: that of the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear.
#FDR is arguably one of the most 'successful' #US Presidents. Some would argue that on the basis of his numerous social policies such as 'the New Deal'. Others, however, would argue that his role during the second world war was more prevalent to his success & everlasting legacy.
