He is *not* "unstoppable". It's simply that the people who *could* stop him chose, and continue to choose, not to do so. He's not a god-king; he's the product of a morally bankrupt faction who will use every trick to hold onto their illegitimate power. Quit mythologizing him.
The never-Trumpers believe since they couldn't stop Trump through some finger-wagging about norms and stern op-eds that he's therefore "unstoppable." But they support almost everything he supports. They just have better hair and aren't as tacky.
These folks don't oppose the basic substance of this administration, just its style. They've been on board with the racist policies, imperialism, and unbounded executive authority since Nixon. They just think they could be doing it better, and that's their complaint.
The never-Trumpers' fundamental problem is that Trump is the inevitable product of their own politics, from Fox News to Quayle and Palin to neocon imperialist fantasies to the new Jim Crow. It could never have been "never Trump," bc it's always been "of course, Trump."
