. @CarolineFlintMP I've just written you an e-mail but, given the urgency, I'm putting this on here, too:

I know you and I hold very different views on what should happen next with Brexit, but surely, [1/11]
no matter how determined you are to see through a Brexit deal, you must see that the government are trying to pull a fast one, attempting to rush a Bill through Parliament without proper scrutiny. [2/11]
Not to mention that, as it's highly unlikely they'll then be able to negotiate trade deals before the end of the transition period, and that negotiating an extension to the transition period is entirely at the government's discretion, [3/11]
passing the Withdrawal Agreement Bill (WAB) now is only paving the way for a no-deal crash out of the EU at the end of 2020!
The most important thing to do now is not to let the government rush this through. [4/11]
Therefore I am urging you to vote against the programme motion tonight, because:

1. The WAB is the most significant piece of legislation, with the most profound political and economic impact (which Sajid Javid won't even do an assessment on!) on all our lives, [5/11]
to have been considered by Parliament since 1973. It needs proper scrutiny.

2. It's already emerged that goods moving from NI to GB will need export paperwork, something even the Brexit Secretary was not aware of until yesterday. [6/11]
Other issues will only be identified after thorough and proper scrutiny.

3. That scrutiny needs time.

4. Scrutinising legislation is the essence of Parliament's - and therefore YOUR - role. [7/11]
6. To even attempt to railroad this act through is to treat the entire concept of Parliamentary sovereignty with contempt.

Please, finally, do the right thing. Do what is right to protect your constituents and the country, based on the information available. [8/11]
Giving those that have been repeatedly neglected by government "what they want" when it's going to be profoundly damaging to them is doing them a huge disservice and is a dereliction of your duty as an MP, their representative in Parliament. [9/11]
Consistently ignoring and belittling the voices of those of us who disagree because all available information and facts point to this being a dangerous, destructive and impoverishing course of action is also a dereliction of your duty as an MP - [10/11]
you are supposed to represent all your constituents.
Please examine your conscience. Please stop the government railroading this shoddy deal through. Please do what is best for the country.

Regards

Your constituent, and Chair of campaign group @Best4Doncaster [11/11]
