Medicare for All has always, at least in part, been a Trojan horse useful to Bernie as a means of funneling money to his campaign.
His campaign profits from the promotion of a slogan regardless of whether it ever means a thing.
If I come out with Tacos for All and absolutely brand it as synonymous with me, I don’t even need to go sell the world on my candidacy.
I can just sell *some people* on Tacos for All and then tell them we all need to go sing the Tacos for All song.
It’s multi-level marketing.
And it leverages an issue people care greatly about.
Emotions are more useful to marketers than reasons.
It’s a great strategy.
...because that’s my product and nothing else would make my cash register ring.
I’m just pointing out that his campaign uses it as a product atop a multilevel marketing strategy that drives a shitload of money into his campaign - and that creates an issue.
