One of the reasons I left @Cigna was a meeting about high deductible plans.

A consultant was explaining the “merits” of high deductible plans to us. I questioned how it would shift cost to workers.

He got frustrated and said: “You’re going to have to drink the Kool Aid.”
Every health insurance executive in America has now drunken the Kool Aid.

Tens of millions of Americans are underinsured. That means they have insurance — but their deductible is too high for them to use it.
Now, that sadly includes the ranks of hard working @washingtonpost journalists whose owner could clearly afford to keep lower deductibles.
It’s an experience I hope helps these journalists realize a need to redouble efforts to produce fair coverage about insurance industry profiteering and #MedicareForAll.
