We need more discussion of the fact that Sondland discussed the possibility of William Barr coordinating a statement with the Ukrainians that would legitimize an effort to absolve Russia of its role in attacking our political system in 2016.

Bill Barr keeps magically popping up in the middle of this corrupt scheme.

Trump, Mulvaney, and now allegedly Sondland have all tied Barr to it. This is compromising the legitimacy of his "review" into 2016, which is already suspect.

There's a revealing tell in the Fox News smear of Vindman.

They rip Vindman for undermining *Trump's* interests. *That's* what really has them in a rage.

Placing country before Trump is the real betrayal for which Vindman must be destroyed.

Vindman is corroborating a key piece of William Taylor's testimony. Both say Gordon Sondland privately referenced the investigations Trump wanted into *the Bidens.*

So they *both* undercut Sondland's testimony:

I'm going to suggest that William Barr's criminal review is actually a telling sign of Trump's mounting rage and panic over the impeachment inquiry.

It's easy to see Trump raging at Barr and demanding more protection. Presto: Criminal review!

Here's another layer to the House GOP strategy:

It's supposed to send the message that Rs are being super effective in debunking witness testimony in private, and Ds are concealing that.

This is meant to sate the rage of the Audience of One.

The game:

1) Released testimony is devastating

2) Rs say they demolished that testimony in private hearing

3) Rs scream Ds are hiding this

4) When transcripts are released and don't exonerate Trump, they'll claim opposite and Fox will amplify that lie

Rs can call for transcripts' release, knowing that when they *don't* exonerate Trump, they can just lie about it, and use the release as the hook to argue that the Dem coverup has been exposed.

A couple of more words about the terribly ill-advised decision of the @coe parliamentary assembly to bend to the blackmail of the Russian government and remove sanctions against #Russia. THREAD
This decision took three years of financial blackmail, rhetorical intimidation and possibly a fair amount of corruption. #Russia succeeded in arm-twisting Europe's most prominent human rights institution to change its own rules the way it wanted them, greatly weakening CoE.
Those who voted for this stunning capitulation should be ashamed of themselves; this includes the German and the French government as well as the Council of Europe secretary general @TJagland who supported the move.
