Maybe we need to face up to the fact that Benn Act was too timid and 31st Jan too soon. We need six to eight months to resolve this: an election followed by Brexit bill or election followed by referendum.
If 12 December is out, we can’t campaign over Christmas, so election happens in Feb at earliest. That allows time for an immediate referendum. We can’t now have a referendum before an election. There aren’t the numbers & gov will fight it tooth and nail.
