"Take no deal off the table" doesn't make any sense. If the EU extends article 50, that just starts the clock ticking to a possible no deal after the extension. If the withdrawal agreement gets ratified, tick tick tick to a possible no deal at the end of the transition period
You can't take no deal off the table until either (a) the future relationship—not just the WA—has been negotiated & ratified by both sides or (b) brexit has been cancelled & all parties inc the Tories are committed to not starting it up again. Neither of those feels very close
So the next general election is almost certainly going to happen at a time when no deal remains possible. That's prob true even if MPs force this non-functioning govt to hang around in No. 10 lackadaisically making things worse until the next scheduled election in 2022
