Re: Tlaib’s revisionism, spent Shabbos reading a book on the era that’s *entirely* from the Palestinian perspective, and by the mid-1930s the consensus priority was stopping Jews fleeing Europe to Palestine. When millions of dead Jews is your goal, don’t pat yourself on the back.
I think the blank bigotry check she and others have been given by House leadership has made them think they can say anything about the Jews. And much of the press enables it—either out of shared bigotry or ignorance. All while the ‘fact checkers’ are busy banning The Onion.
Indeed, rather than acknowledge the historical fact that Jews are indigenous to the land, Tlaib plays up the classic incitement: that Jews don’t belong there and refugees are an existential threat. She then uses this to call again for the erasure of the Jewish state. Chilling.
