Friendly reminder that we know the USA has threatened to kill OPCW funding as leverage to achieve strategic goals. During the Bush administration it was to remove OPCW Director General Jose Bustani because he was interfering with the Iraq war agenda.

We know that the US bullied the OPCW into firing Bustani for his effective peace-building efforts, so is it terribly unreasonable to suspect that the US and/or its allies may have covertly done something similar to advance strategic agendas against Syria?
According to Bustani the US ousted him from the OPCW because his work was a threat to their war narrative vs Iraq.
This is of course the same Jose Bustani who sat on the recent OPCW/Douma panel in Brussels and found the OPCW's suspicious investigation practices into allegations against the Syrian government "very disturbing".

If the US government was depraved enough to threaten Bustani's children in order to attain its regime change agenda in Iraq (and they did), it's certainly depraved enough to use similar leverage to attain its known regime change agenda in Syria.

And now here we are, with not one but *two* whistleblowers from the OPCW's Douma investigation saying their findings which exculpated the Syrian government of a chemical weapons attack were suppressed by the organisation. US manipulation? I'd say likely.
