1. I’m not confident of Boris Johnson’s wish to respond to this based on how he went AWOL from a crisis meeting on the day he resigned.
2. At the beginning of July 2018, a couple from Amesbury were found to have been exposed to Novichok. 
3. Being a national emergency, this was a matter for the key decision body COBR.
4. And with the finger pointing to a foreign country, the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs was to attend.
5. The day of the emergency meeting, Boris Johnson had a Western Balkans summit. He didn’t arrive.
6. And then news came out that he had failed to turn up at the COBR meeting.
7. Whitehall confirmed he was at the COBR meeting.
8. People looking for Boris elsewhere spoke to the Chief whip who said they didn’t know where he was.
9. And then the Whitehall source called back and they had no idea where Boris was.
10. Boris was considering his career, because he resigned later that day.
11. Nobody knew where Boris Johnson was, he missed appointments of national importance, and when he finally emerged, it was all about him and his career.
