Deeply saddened to learn of @BernardJTyson's passing, one of America's great leaders in healthcare.

@BernardJTyson The utter tragedy of losing this great man and inspirational force at such a young age. If anyone thinks we have cures for heart disease, his sudden death unquestionably tells us otherwise.

So far we learned about some pogroms 😠(1171 France, 1190 England) and Maïmōnídēs dying 😢(1204 Egypt).
JewishHistory is filled with sorrow and darkness but it gets better in the 2nd half of the 20th century 😉

OK I just watched this video.

Understand what I'm about to say: I'm not *blaming* this guy, he had no training and no idea what to do in the face of somebody accosting him like this.

Standing there with your hand *politely* and *passively* folded over your midsection is the WRONG THING TO DO when an aggresor who is saying aggressive things has come into your personal space.
"I'm going to show this guy I'm no threat to him whatsoever. I'm going to stand here with my hands folded over my stomach to show him I'm not aggressive."

That only works if the OTHER PERSON sees you as a threat.

This mugger clearly didn't see his victim as a threat.

My birthday is Feb 21.

I can't afford my #healthcare after Feb. 28 because my monthly premium leapt to $1,978.10 in January.

I'm re-applying for #Medicaid and #SSDI, but no one should have to do this in America.

I am just one of millions.
I'm angry.
I've been angry since Nov. 9, 2016.
I'm not by nature an angry person.
But when you're fighting for your literal life, you're in constant pain & you have to fight a system dedicated to crushing sick/#disabled people, it's enraging.
All over America people are crowdfunding

*healthcare
*prescriptions
*#oxygen
*dental care
*medical tests
*surgeries

Not artistic works or small films or books but
THINGS THAT WILL KEEP US FROM DYING.

Take that in, America.
