@DonaldJTrumpJr @willchamberlain the demand that Shokin be fired as a condition for IMF loan almost certainly originated with Biden staff. The demand was first announced to Ukr prosecutors at Jan 19, 2016 meeting with US officials hosted by Eric Ciaramella.
@DonaldJTrumpJr @willchamberlain 2/ the demand appears to have been communicated in earily December by Biden staff (including Carpenter) to Ukr activist Sergiy Leshchenko at meeting in Washington on Dec 1, 2015, just as NYT breaking Hunter Biden story in US. Ciaramella may have already been involved.

1/ in a recent thread I noted US ambassador Pyatt's Sept 2015 speech. @HansMahncke pointed out that Pyatt as NOT then demanding Shokin resignation and that something changed prior to Biden demand. Can this be pinpointed?
@HansMahncke 2/ a chronology problem for this exercise arises almost immediately, since it doesn't seem possible to match events related to Shokin's removal to dates in which Biden was in Ukraine.
@HansMahncke 3/ Shokin was reported to have resigned on Feb 16, 2016, but then seems to have resiled and was finally forced out on March 30, 2016. Rather than there being a single CornPop moment corresponding to Biden's six hours, it seems to have been by instalment in Feb-Mar 2016.

1/ despite hours of interview with me, BBC got simple chronology wrong. I did NOT commence by starting a blog and "vigorous correspondence" with CRU. Ross and I published articles in academic journals. Mann started blog (RealClimate) where we were attacked. I started ClimateAudit
2/ in response at end of January 2005. Nor is it correct to say that "vigorous correspondence" with CRU was a primary feature of this work. I exchanged a few emails with them, but the correspondence was hardly "vigorous". This presages very poorly for documentary.

3/ instead, Pyatt's chosen example of corruption was the failure of Shokin's predecessor in the case of a $23 million bank account of Burisma's Zlochevsky, which had been frozen in UK, but later released by UK authorities.
