The Met says it's assessing "two allegations of electoral fraud and malpractice".

No specifics from the police but the complaints relate to allegations the Tories offered jobs to Brexit Party candidates to get them to stand aside.

Ministers and the PM have denied this.
Earlier Michael Gove said he is "completely unaware" of any such conversations between the Tories and the Brexit Party as they are "not interested in pacts or deals" and are standing in "every seat" across the UK.
Labour's Andrew Gwynne calls for a "full investigation" into "serious allegations":

“For Michael Gove to fail to deny that the government has used jobs and peerages to pressure candidates from another party to not stand in an election is shocking".
Worth saying...

These complaints are thought to have been made by Labour's Lord Falconer. The Met are "assessing" them... as presumably they do with any complaint they receive.

In other words, anyone can make a complaint on anything and the Met would assess it.
