I posted this thread last night about Barr's insane speech last night at @fedsoc.
Here are more points & links about Barr and how the right invented its "unitary executive" (misnomer) theory.

Barr stole a page from Trump's playbook. Every time Trump has more criminal legal trouble, he goes to a rally & whips up the #MAGA base with insanely incendiary statements.

Barr is featured as a co-conspirator in the Trump-Zelensky transcript.
After this week, he's worried.

@FedSoc 3/ Trump mentions Barr 4 times in the transcript, about as often as Giuliani.

Each day we learn how open & explicit (& loud) Trump was about this extortion scheme.
It's implausible that Barr wasn't aware of Trump withholding arms.
If he knew, he is a criminal co-conspirator.

Seems like threats and extortion.

"Well, she's [Amb. Yovanovitch] going to go through some things. I will have Mr. Giuliani give you a call and I am also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to the bottom of it."

@FedSoc 5/ If I were named in a transcript of a criminal shakedown as a shaker-down, and new witnesses were coming forward each day confirming a broad extortion plot...
I'd be very nervous.

Barr's best defense is to politicize the case.
Make it partisan.
And wrap himself in the base.
