At breakneck speed, UCP has already passed second reading of Bill 22.

We are watching democracy in Alberta crumble before our eyes.

What is it that UCP is so anxious to hide by firing the Election Commissioner?

Alberta is on the precipice of no longer being a democracy. We are being turned into an autocratic stronghold, ruled by a dictator that fired the independent public official investigating election issues surrounding UCP.

Today’s passing of Bill 22 is devastating.

Far more than most realize.

Here is an explanation of what is happening.

We cannot rely on Ottawa, the Crown, or Trudeau to intervene. Manufactured western alienation makes intervention untenable for a minority government.
But we are not without options. There is always hope.

Democracy died in Alberta today.
Time to get organized and get our poop in a group.

Howver, GG or the Crown, does not intervene in politics. They follow the recommendations of the executive, the PM.

It would be perceived as a partisan act.

If government intervenes (Crown or PM) then it is seen as partisan.

If population protests, it is perceived as will of the people. Populism has its benefits. This is one.

A mob raging about the injustice and obvious corruption is the required response.

This needs to be citizen lead, grassroots. From the people themselves.

The problem? MSM are complicit in suppression of the information, downplaying the risk and labeling it as partisan.

The UCP education policies and cuts serve both purposes. It’s a multipurpose policy.

It kneecaps educator’s unions & collective power,

And it rewards Dominionist Christian schools and private elite schools.
The policy expands funding for Christian options: Christian schools and homeschooling. It also ensures wealthy elites receive assistance with cost of tuition. Not every parent can afford $20,000 in fees per student. Charter schools will be covered.
But it is an attack on intellectualism.

If you research the Dominionist Christian ideology, it is firmly entrenched in providing anti-intellectual education. Just the basics.

Part of the ideology behind Dominionism is preference for faith over science.

In the midst of the Clinton impeachment, Bill Buckley had Ann Coulter on Firing Line to talk about her research into how the founders understood impeachment. In 1998, Coulter thought impeachment was an excellent, Constitutional thing.
Coulter argues that the founders were concerned with virtue. "The first aim of the constitution was to ensure that men with the most virtue would become the nation's rulers. Impeachment is designed to keep them virtuous while they hold the public trust."
Around 5:00 Coulter says that she thinks we should be engaging in impeachment even more often, not less often. At 6:30 Coulter says that adultery very well might be a high crime and misdemeanor. As well as drunkenness.
