Why are we building a real-time visibility tool to empower first-line managers?

#Origins_RemoteMakerStories

It’s an awesome time to be an individual contributor 🌟

There are a lot of fantastic tools: Github and Gitlab for engineering teams; Trello and Asana for PMs; Salesforce or Zendesk for customer support, just to name a few.
#Problem_RemoteMakerStories

But when we started managing teams and releases, we felt the need for a unified, high-level view for those projects 🧐
We noticed that first-line managers, directors and VPs only have visibility into their initiatives by scheduling a weekly meeting.

We believe they deserve real-time visibility into any activity that might put their initiatives at risk.
That’s why we’re building Confeur (@confeurhq) 😎
#Solution_RemoteMakerStories

We’re bringing real-time visibility to company-wide initiatives, to empower first-line managers (PMs, Engineering Managers) and the people they report to 🚀
#ProductFeatures_RemoteMakerStories

Our team is distributed between San Francisco and Portugal and we’re laser focused on building a highly visual, highly-integrated, real time product, with beautiful and humane UX 💪
Confeur allows first-line managers to figure out in 2 seconds:
- where they need to focus their attention
- see their initiatives end-to-end, cross-department and,
- seamlessly report progress, without having to hop between multiple tools and tons of easily outdated slide decks
