It is now 9 years since the Guardian banned me from commenting on its website for being critical, mainly via ironic remarks, of its "progressive" - in my view, Orwellian - agenda.
Orwellian, primarily because of its promotion of racial mixing & demonisation as "racist" of anyone expressing even the most polite objections to it, in accordance with the dictates of Big Brother as to how everyone should feel & think about race.
How could anyone, who isn't an evil racist, possibly have any objections to the smiling black & white couple in the soul-mates photo above?

I have mixed feelings - as I know, most people do - about racial mixing, which I refuse to suppress at Big Brother's command.
My feelings are not hateful or evil or racist, but mixed, because, for me, race is central to any deep & meaningful sense of both personal & group, incl. genuine national, IDENTITY.

It is misguided & hateful to demonise my mixed feelings as hateful, when they are not.
How did we get into a situation in which British citizens cannot express how they honestly feel & think about race, without being demonised as "racist"?
