On this basis leaving the EU and staying in permanent transition is as much Brexit as never having a deal with the EU again. Which I agree with as it happens. But does rather mean that Brexit is by definition blind to the future, which means it can't end uncertainty and division.
Today we have threads from @GeorgePeretzQC and @hhesterm on future problems with the EU relationship. I've done them as well. If the Conservatives win it sets the UK up for many more years of uncertainty.
@GeorgePeretzQC @hhesterm To be fair to @DanielJHannan he has long favoured and I think still does a close relationship based on EEA or Swiss relations with the EU. It isn't a widely held view in his party, as his original Euroscepticism wasn't in 1990. Getting there still looks a tough ask.
