Arabic is tightly wound up within Spanish, more so than most people know.

For 781 years, from 711 to 1492, all or large parts of modern Spain were under Arabic, Muslim rule. Iberian Romance languages were spoken alongside Andalusi Arabic.

Every few days, I'll share a word. 1/
Arabic origin can be obscure. Take "enchufar" (plug in, connect). After Reconquista, some Muslims remained in Catholic Iberia. These Mudéjar (Arabic Mudajjan "tamed") were often laborers. Their word "juf" (from Classic Arabic jawf, inner part) became a verb adding en- / -ar.

Loco. From Classical Arabic "lawqāʔ" through Andalusi Arabic "láwqa," feminine of "alwáq" or "stupid."

In other words, "loca" was first adopted into Spanish, then the masculine "loco" was derived from it.

1. To understand the gravity of intractable pain and forcible taper, and the death that has occurred here, lets review Carla's story in her own words... she was gravely injured in a car accident in 1980 will multiple fractures throughout her skeleton.
2. She had multiple pain physicians in the last 3 years, each of which engaged in forcible taper to get her under 90 MME and the installation of a pain pump which she could not afford to maintain on her disability income. Her pharmacy stopped filling her Rxs claiming TN regs.
