Its the 6th yr of Modi in Govt. Its time to evaluate Modi's performance agnst standards he set fr other Govs.
Modi & Co constantly criticised Centrl & St Govts when any ghastly crime occurred. It's fair to criticise. Govts mst secure the physical safety of evry citizn.Right? 1/n
For instance they criticised Delhi Govt in Nirbhaya case. Modi told voters to remembr Nirbhaya when voting. Also Bihar was relentlessly criticised as JUNGLE RAAJ.
Once in power from 2014, what has BJP delivered on this aspect both nationally & in the states BJP governs? 2/n
Let's leave aside reducing crimes. Crimes have actually incrsd (see earlier tweet) w.r.t. crimes against women, children, dalits or minorities.

Numerous cases of barbaric rapes, murders, lynchings demonstrate BJP is no better but worse at controlling these crimes... 3/n
Quesn : Is the Govt sympathetic to these barbaric criminals sending a tacit sign of support? For ths we turn to 2 signifnt instances. 1st one where Jayant Sinha a Minister in Modi Govt, felicitated 8 accused lynchers garlanding them & was photographed in full glare of media. 4/n
The 2nd instance is of a most heinous crime where a 8 yr old Asifa was kidnapped, drugged & gang raped over several days by pedophiles.
Crimes happen. Not all crimes can be controlled by Govts. But here 2 BJP ministers led a morcha to support these accused pedophile rapists. 5/n
There are other instances, but not needed. Evidently the crime situation has turned for the worse.
But the Govt when releasing data on such crimes is selective, confirming doubts about whr the Govt is serious about controlling..6/n

Let's turn to othr pts Modi & Co criticised. Whn petrol prices incrsd to Rs 73.18 due to a spurt in global crude oil pr, Modi tore into MMS. TV Channels & several celebrities joind to paint MMS as incompetent.
Petrol is avbl at 74.76. Twas much higher earlier. V hv silence.. 7/n
Similarly the Re exchange rate was bitterly criticised by Modi. He said MMS is only interested in the chair when the Rate was 64.11. I am not arguing that a low exchange rate is good or bad. But that's what Modi said! Now the rate is consistently >70.. 8/n

Instd of creating jobs, we lost. A whole lot of jobs. Unemployment is highest in 45 yrs. CMIE reports we lost 11 mil job in JUST 2018. Anr report states 5 mil lost jobs due to demonetisation. Modi's performance is terrible, but he masquerades pretending to be a champion.. 10/n

I am harping on demonetisation because, I believe India's problems started on 8th Nov 2016 at 8 pm.
So its imprnt to understand the context fully, esp the main characters who played a role in the whole thing. 1/n
I am not suggesting that demonetisation is the only problem created. There are ors. But it started with noteban. A pilot run to test the waters. If we understand how India lost & Modi gained immensely, we'll undestand how he became even more arrogant in his subsequent steps. 2/n

Nobody expects Modi to fix everything in one term. There is no change or even expression of intent by Modi to change anything. More and more temples are being taken over & looted by BJP Govts in states. Modi is continuing & expanding minority appeasement

Sonia started Minority Ministry in 2006, started minority-only scholarships, MSDP etc., Modi is continuing them & allocated more budget than Sonia. Then Modi started new minority-only schemes like Hunar Haat, Nai Manzil, Padho Pardes, Nai Roshni etc., What do you make of this?
You start Hunar Haat only for non-H artisans and then expect H artisans to vote for you? Do you think ppl don't notice on the ground? What is the ideology here? If CON comes to power again & allocates 1 lakh crore budget for Hunar Haat, how do you oppose that move?
