Trump obviously makes everything worse, but anyone pretending that America's foreign policy didn't always prioritize the military industrial complex first and diplomacy second is either naive or a liar.
Whether you're Biden or anyone else, if you've prioritized forgiving the likes of Bush and Cheney over making amends to the victims in Iraq, you don't really care about foreign policy.
If the Democratic party's new standard becomes just "let's not be as bad as Trump" then Republicans win no matter the turnout of the election. A real victory means correcting the circumstances that gave way to Trump in the first place. Going back to business as usual won't cut it
