They say you are the problem. They rob you then say you are corrupt. They rig elections then say you vote badly. They pay militia to pillage, murder and rape then say you are tribal. They say all will be well if you just accept and move on. But you know better.

You are not the problem. They are. They and their state. But they work hard to convince you otherwise so you focus on blaming yourself, telling yourself you deserve the abuse; that if only you were better, it would stop. But it wouldn't. Because you are not the problem. They are.
You are abused by your elites using the state they got from the British. But they say you are to blame; they tell you to deny your trauma, to deny the history that brought you here, the century of abuse you have suffered. They give you #BBIReport, tell you to ignore #TJRCreport.
Uhuru Kenyatta said "it begins with you". But it doesn't. The rot begins with him. Insecurity begins with his class. Corruption begun with his colonial forebears. They all made Kenya what it is - a labour camp where we toil for them and are "educated" to blame ourselves for it.
