@jjfreydcourage DARVO refers to a reaction that perpetrators of wrongdoing (particularly sexual offenders) may display in response to being held accountable for their behavior. DARVO stands for “Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender.”

One thing about these battleground state polls showing Trump pulling even or ahead with the Dem candidates: Impeachment Theater is the main reason he isn't more clearly ahead, and it's going to burn out or implode on the Dems long before the general election.
However the polls might bounce around, it's pretty clear the 2020 election will be decided by turnout and enthusiasm. What do Dem voters have to be enthusiastic about? They keep trudging wearily back to Biden because they think he's the only one who stands any chance at all.
Impeachment Theater is goosing Dem voters a little in the short term, and more importantly depressing soft support for Trump, but it's going to end in a very unsatisfying way for Democrat voters long before the election. The letdown will be highly demoralizing after all the hype.
