It really is outrageous that Amazon accepts no liability for the products that it sells. That it leaves the job of discerning counterfeits from not to consumers. And aggrieved vendors get to play whack-a-mole with copycats. Scandalous that this is legal.

This is how Google operates as well when it comes to ads that abuse trademarks. Just outsource all the work to the victims. Keep them drowning with whack-a-mole business work while the monopolists enjoy the spoils of monopolies.
Anyway, you really should not buy anything from Amazon if your health depends on it. And hey, it's a small upgrade from there to just stop buying from Amazon altogether. Buy directly from makers, buy from stores who are legally liable for what they sell.
This is something. Amazon is arguing they shouldn't be held liable for toxic or dangerous goods, because selling counterfeits is a form of free speech 🤯. This is the section 230 defense.
This is a good example where we can – and should! – blame Amazon, but the real scandal is that they can operate like this legally. OF COURSE Amazon should be 100% liable for every fucking product it sells on Amazon.com. Fix the laws, bring on a flood of lawsuits.
