My thought on the West Point OK sign thing is, we know that white supremacy has strategically infiltrated the military and police force so we know by logical inference white supremacy has strategically infiltrated military and police academies.

It’s really a crazy coincidence that every time somebody attached to one of our powerful institutions is photographed making what may well be a menacing sign of exclusionary hate it’s always a perfectly understandable joke, every time, what are the odds.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told that this gesture wasn’t what this gesture very clearly was, because if it *was* that gesture, well then obviously she would’ve lost her job, and since she didn’t lose her job, it must not of been that gesture

For a lot of people, the only jokes imaginable are “look at what we can get away with” and “what are you gonna do about it?”

So sure. Those West Point cadets were playing the Circle game. It was an innocent harmless explainable joke. Just like it always is. OK.
But there were plenty of white supremacists in that picture, and by now none of us can afford to not know it.

Sometimes it *is* just a game. And sometimes it’s a sign white supremacists use to signal each other. And sometimes it’s somebody only *pretending* to be a white supremacist to terrorize somebody else, who would be terrorized by white supremacy, as a joke.
