The good thing is, the DOJ can somewhat see through what the House is attempting to do. It is alluded in the first corner of the argument.
Though I would have preferred if the DOJ had been more direct with the court.

Tell the 3 judge panel the HJC is attempting to circumvent constitutional restrictions to gain legal authority for access to opposition research files. Be friggin' direct.

Lots of nuance and (self-interested) spook-filled turf protecting in this article. But the part on the DOJ not trusting ICIG Atkinson is a good sign.

Michael Atkinson is Very Dirty. Compromised by his coup-crew role at DOJ-NSD. Lawyer for Carlin then McCord then Boente.
John Sipher, quoted in the article (for obvious reasons) was a dirty, politically motivate, lower level intelligence analyst during his tenure at the agency.

@NatashaBertrand, author of the article, is the well known stenographer for Fusion-GPS operations.
@NatashaBertrand Anyone the SSCI willingly confirmed into the intelligence roles should be considered compromised.

It really is that simple.

If the Warner/Burr SSCI confirmed them, it's best to consider them dirty.

1) Let me try to explain this a little better.

Stuff like this is complex because it involves legal and political strategy.
2) The House Judiciary Lawfare schemers want to gain the 6e material (Weissmann/Mueller) and to a lesser extent a McGahn deposition and Trump financials.
3) HJC has DC appellate court cases for 6e and McGahn.

HJC has recognized *standing* in these cases.

I just realized something. Kevin Clinesmith was likely an FBI Lawyer involved in coordinating/organizing the $10,000 Papadopoulos operation. He interviewed Papadop upon return...

So setting up Page (falsifying FISA), would go hand-in-hand w/ motive setting up papadop.
Might be worthwhile for @GeorgePapa19 to go back and look at the hastily assembled post detention *warrant* from day after the airport stop....
