It *is* a silly claim, which is why I never made it.
He claimed I said “in God we Trust” was a “new invention” of the 1950s.

I provided proof I discussed it’s origins in the 1860s.

He insisted his claim was right, and kept the tweet up. So I blocked him.

And now he’s proud of it.
Looks like I struck gold too!
It seems a *lot* of people struck gold and were blocked by Magness yesterday.

A lot of people have responded to this by saying, "wow, you had a cool dad!"

No, I did not. I had something better.
My dad was unquestionably not cool.

He was a farmer's kid who grew up in Wichita and had a wife and two kids by the age of 22. He was an accountant. He referred to pretty much any song with an electric guitar as "narcotic music."
But you know what? That's what you want in a parent.

As @pattonoswalt taught us, cool parents are the *worst* and you want a boring, uncool parent.

That was my dad.

I woke up this am & made some coffees I told my husband he needs to try this new coffee- it’s great. Using Bernie logic, that means I invented coffee. That’s how asinine & desperate not only Sanders campaign is but also his supporters #neverbernie
His base is clueless & knows nothing about politics or government. Bernie never caught my radar until I started hearing the “establishment” mantra. First thought? Wait? He’s been in politics his whole life? How is he not establishment? #neverBernie
