Every year, I add two new low-carbon habits to my life. And every year, I keep on doing the three MOST IMPT things any individual can do: talk about it, join an organization that amplifies my voice, and advocate for change with leadership at all levels which includes VOTING.
Last year, I moved to recycled toilet paper and my husband surprised us with solar panels. The year before, I got a plug-in car and changed my grocery shopping habits to reduce our food waste from about 30% to 5%.
The year before, I replaced a freezer with racks to hang laundry instead of drying them, and got very serious with the LEDs. Oh - I forgot, last year we also became big fans of @BeyondMeat and amped up the veggies in our diet! Because I didn't know the solar panels were coming :)
@BeyondMeat Before that, I assessed my travel and decided to transition most of it to virtual + offset the rest with @climatestewards. I'm at nearly 80% virtual now, and the rest is all *extremely* bundled. How? Here's an example:
@BeyondMeat @climatestewards But through it all, the single most important and effective action that I am doing is TALKING ABOUT IT. And you know what? You can too - because friends and family are the MOST trusted messengers when it comes to climate change! theclimatechat.org/messengers

@BeyondMeat @climatestewards Had a memorable conversation about climate change, one that sticks in your head (for either bad or good reasons)? Drop me a line, I'm writing a book and would love to include your story! katharinehayhoe.com/wp2016/contact/
