Before Christmas, I spoke in Cambridge in defence of academic freedom of speech, and I feel very strongly that scientists are able to openly discuss their thoughts, ideas and understanding.
Bad scientific arguments are rebutted with good scientific arguments. It starts and ends there.
Obviously, Twitter is not always an ideal platform for scientific exchange, but many of us *do* discuss science in good faith here.
I do not expect to see my employers alerted to my dev bio posts, and I extend the same respect to other scientists.

Peace, and science 🧪
