No one bangs this out in an afternoon with some pizza and fires it off to the tens of thousands of people on the DNC/Warren mailstring. Certainly not on a Sunday afternoon.

Which means the campaign had a heads up from Politico that the story was coming, and what it would be about.
Now, that's not inherently a sign of an op - just asking for comment, a common and good journalistic practice, can warn people that the shitbarometer is dropping.

However, when you look at the timing of the story and how the publishing was managed, you see that the Sanders campaign didn't even get a chance to comment/no comment before the fireworks began. Axl and Holly were super stoked to get their all-caps SCOOP, after all.
But the source is, in a word, shit. Axl admits he had to retype the document, dodging through 'protecting his source', but I guarantee you there won't be a publication of the original now that the source has been burned on the Sanders side.
Why? Because the source amounts to a plant. The guy had posted exactly once in the Slack channel before posting the ginned up scripts, and the scripts themselves were almost instantly removed by Sanders2020's slack mods as being not correct scripting.
Now, consider the timing. The plant happened on Saturday night, and the story dropped Sunday morning. Perfect time to catch a campaign wrong-footed as most of its people are doing the tv news circuit.

Tonight she was smooth as butter. Hit her unity message cleanly and crisply, and got out of the way for Booker to make his best attack-dog impression (not a bad one, either, ngl).
