Russians hacked Burisma, probably looking to find information on the Bidens they can use to screw with our election - again.

The hacker has been confirmed to be Fancy Bear - Russian military intelligence - and the hack was successful. The attempts began in November, right as impeachment hearings were beginning.
"The Russian attacks on Burisma appear to be running parallel to an effort by Russian spies in Ukraine to dig up information in the analog world that could embarrass the Bidens, according to an American security official."

After the last three painful years of watching our President refuse to defend the United States from Russia, I'm seriously perplexed that the Democratic Party is rejoicing in Bernie Sanders's surge in Iowa.

WHAT ARE WE THINKING?

Bernie voted against the Magnitsky Act.
He voted against the 2017 Russian sanctions bill.
He didn't show up for the 2019 Deripaska sanctions vote.

I'm not saying he has the same love for Putin that Trump has, but there's little doubt he's got a soft spot for Russia.
I mean, who goes on a 10-day "honeymoon" to the Soviet Union, and while they're there - on Soviet soil DURING the COLD WAR - criticize the policies of the United States in front of Russian officials?

Because of specific swing state leanings this year, Trump HAS to take Florida. (Dems don't need Florida if they win the right combination of other states.)

The most current polls show Biden being the only Dem who could beat Trump in Florida.
Current polling suggests Sanders COULD scrape by with a narrow victory over Trump.

But he would HAVE to take all four of these: Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin

Biden's lead over Trump beats Sanders's lead over Trump in all four of these states.

The Russian hacking attempts against Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company on whose board Hunter Biden served, began in early November, as talk of the Bidens, Ukraine and impeachment was dominating the news in the United States.
It is not yet clear what the hackers found, or precisely what they were searching for. But the experts say the timing and scale of the attacks suggest that the Russians could be searching for potentially embarrassing material on the Bidens.
