After the last three painful years of watching our President refuse to defend the United States from Russia, I'm seriously perplexed that the Democratic Party is rejoicing in Bernie Sanders's surge in Iowa.

WHAT ARE WE THINKING?

Bernie voted against the Magnitsky Act.
He voted against the 2017 Russian sanctions bill.
He didn't show up for the 2019 Deripaska sanctions vote.

I'm not saying he has the same love for Putin that Trump has, but there's little doubt he's got a soft spot for Russia.

I mean, who goes on a 10-day "honeymoon" to the Soviet Union, and while they're there - on Soviet soil DURING the COLD WAR - criticize the policies of the United States in front of Russian officials?

Have we forgotten that the Russians actually HELPED Bernie during 2016? Does that still matter?

Aren't we well and DONE with worrying about whether our President is truly independent from the influence of the Russian state?

I know that Bernie is very popular, but MY WORD, I can't imagine jumping from one Putin-Puppet-Presidency to another! Can you?

Bernie has Russia baggage. We don't know how much, and it really doesn't matter. There's TOO MUCH THERE there.

And I'm tired of worrying.
