Pretty sure they have choked a speech or forgot a point on stage.
They were embarassed.
The audience giggled.
And life moved on.
Since that moment, they realized the biggest critic of embarrassment is the inner voice
'Haha, yea I did.'
Pretty embarrassing for them right?
'Ya. Very embarrassing.'
Did you spend all day/week thinking about it?
'Fuck no.'
Why?
'Because I have more important things to worry about.'
Exactly....👀👇
That's when you think your self image is someone else's concern
This causes you to put a magnifying glass on the opinions of others.
You'll lose your ability to take risks.
And even when you do take a risk, you're going to do it with a half assed effort.
It isn't the entire picture.
Until you can understand this, you'll always over think embarrassing moments.
At most, the audience had a chuckle.
And if the speaker was smart, they'd JOIN them on the chuckle.
Because when you can zoom out & see the bigger picture, you'll realize people will forget.
And tbh, you will forget as well.
Fools you into thinking that everyone is gossiping about you.
And they are planning your downfall.
Their dreams.
Their responsibilities etc.
You take up less than 1% of their daily thoughts.
And if you don't believe me, then analyze your own thoughts.
Most are centered around you.
Just like others thoughts are centered around them.
And that is making yourself proud.
Even If you choke on stage, give yourself a pat on the back for getting on stage.
Most do not have the courage to do that.
After you did all that, own up to the error & see how you can improve for next time.
Public speaking is one of those sports that you get better with time.
Scratch that.
Abundance mentality towards speeches.
Abundance mentality towards anything that you fear.
The opportunities are limitless when you shape your mind to see it.
People will have a giggle & go back to their lives
As you will go back to yours
Can't be both.
The ancient bird, which cyclically burned itself to once again rise from the ashes & come out STRONGER.
Be the Phoenix in your life.
Public speaking was fun all along.
Just need to view it with the right lens.
