I hope to offer one insight into what my typical workday looks like; eating low-carb and paying the bills. YMMV and I’m confident Twitter is always kind about shared opinions.
✅ The night before: pack gym bag and clothes for the next day.
✅ Wake up
✅ Pray the Rosary
✅ Walk and feed Holly (rough on cold mornings!)
✅ Pack lunch (leftovers: pork tenderloin, turkey patties, and portobello w/blue cheese and spinach
✅ 25-minute drive to the YMCA in Durham
✅ Tues. and Thurs. are my HIIT routine days
✅ Start with an easy single “7 minute” cycle
✅ Then a three-cycle of 4/5 difficulty exercises
✅ Then an easy “7 minute”
✅ Close with a stretch cool down
I use this app, and I highly recommend it:

✅ 24 oz coffee with MCT Oil, cinnamon, and sweetener.
Note: I don’t need the coffee, any more than Linus “needs” his blanket. It’s only for enjoyment.
Adding MCT Oil is my experimenting with exogenous ketones. I don’t “need” it, either.
✅ Enjoy another 24 oz of coffee w/heavy whipping cream, cinnamon, and one packet of stevia. My beverage lasts until about 9:30 AM.
✅ We have a shared walking treadmill desk. I usually use it for an hour.
✅ Use BrowserStack to address a support ticket.
✅10 AM: Green Match Tea with 2 tbsps. butter, splash of HWC, and packet of Splenda.
I feel my normal self today, though my-oh-my it is CHILLY today. Go figure for winter season.
12:30 PM Meat medley
✅ 6 oz turkey patties
✅ 8 oz pork tenderloin (seasoned with @creativketocook’s Memphis Style BBQ Rub)
✅ Portobello Mushroom stuffed with spinach and bleu cheese
✅ 2 tbsp. of butter (since the turkey is so damn dry)
✅ 1 tbsp. salt
I meant to include a photo of my green-matcha tea from this morning. I use an immersion blender to make it nice-ᴎ-frothy. It doesn’t make a huge difference, but it’s always fun to use power tools for any reason.
A “dear reader” demographic reflex test;
“These ____ were made for walkin,’ and walkin’s what they’ll do…”
I was going to incorporate CICO into the next lyrical line, but it’s time to go home. I’ve used up my creative mojo until 4:30.
✅ 3.25 oz. pork rinds
✅ 1 oz. white cheese dip
✅ 12 oz. Food Lion Orange Vanilla seltzer
And, at home:
✅ 12 oz Food Lion diet ginger ale
✅ 2 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar (I like the added “bite” to my beverage)
✅ one-quarter iceberg wedge with homemade ranch dressing
✅ 6 oz hamburger patty with jalapeno cheddar cheese
✅ Delicious rendered tallow from the cooked burgers, about 3 oz. Dipped the burger and lettuce in the tallow.
Satiety achieved.
✅ 2 tbsps heavy whipping cream, whipped up, of course
✅ 2 x 1" squares homemade baked coconut butter and pecan bars
With the exception of MCT oil, an experiment, everything I ate was from the grocer. No “KETO” products.
