This isn't even snark. The impeachment rules -- having to sit there all day and night without cellphones on -- could actually mean some of these Senators are indeed hearing the facts about Trump and Ukraine without the right wing media filter for the first time.
Case in point: Senator Kennedy, who in the recent past has, with no sense of irony, repeated Russian talking points in media interviews:
The sad thing is, there's little reason to believe that exposure to what amounts to "new" information for some of these Republican Senators will change their ultimate behavior when it comes to voting on witnesses, evidence or conviction. The herd mentality is that strong.
