Contribution rates are being reduced again!!!!!! No thanks to AIMCo, but solely due to the hard work and dedication of the employees of ATRF. Teacher contributions will be lowered by 0.58% of pay Starting Sept 1. (Government will save about 0.42% of pay)

Allow me to get emotional when I point out that the 1.00% total reduction is due to the excellent investment returns of the soon to be disbanded investment arm of ATRF. 7.8% total return compared to a benchmark of 6.4%. #howaboutthemapples

This increases the funded status of the plan from 93% to 95%. And, of course, 1.4% above benchmark is an excellent return.

Remember, LAPP's objective is to earn 1% more than bench with AIMCo.

AND THEY NEVER HAVE FOR 11 YEARS. NOT ONE QUARTER THAT AIMCO HAS BEEN HERE. #really

Saving the GOA 0.42% of teacher pay is $15 million or so. Did I hear UCP MLAs say they would plough back pension savings into education? Oh, yes I did!

Can someone ask Travis why he does not roll the LAPP assets over to ATRF for investment?

Remember, our real risk here is that AIMCo under-performs and squanders their tiny cost advantage.
