Story of African American's missing votes on voting machines, was written a year ago by @michaelharriot. There are still no answers, as the GA officials have blocked us from investigating. 1/ theroot.com/exclusive-thou…
2/ GA purchased a new system where the same type of #electronicvotersuppression can happen.

This high risk, hard-to-detect type of suppression doesn't get enough attention, but it should. No one wants to believe it.
3/ Please help us continue the fight in Court to discover what happened in those majority black precincts to demonstrate that such suppression can be repeated with the new vulnerable touchscreen voting machines and not detected. coalitionforgoodgovernance.org/donate/

We @CoalitionGoodGv tried to tell @GaSecofState that they were going to need to be prepared to conduct special elections in the 1st Quarter before the new machines were ready. We urged them not to ignore this predictable need to be prepared. They said no need. See thread.1/
2/Above is from brief SOS filed saying they need not have a contingency plan, and that election would be remote. Plus they read the law wrong. See above.

Now they have 2 special elections involving 12 counties.

And they have no equipment, since they decertified old scanners.
3/ Early voting starts Jan. 13 in 9 counties in SD13. They have no equipment, no software, no training, no testing, no instructions.

It is very good that they are having a prompt election. But very bad that SOS messed over them re: equipment.

I'm willing to go on record predicting that the new voting system will NOT be ready in time for March 4 early voting across the state in any organized way. @GaSecofState is telling half the story at best. 1/

2/ I'll be happy to be wrong.
But we've seen some internal communications and they don't make the "we're ahead of schedule" press reports.

Getting some of the BMDs in is a far cry from having a full system working!
3/ Plus they haven't solved the problem of the violation of ballot secrecy as your votes on the screens can be seen from across the room.

But the point is that the claims are very misleading for candidates, campaigns, political parties, voters, attorneys, all of whom have to make decisions on recounts and challenges. 1/
@benadida @mattblaze @VerifiedVoting @voting_works @philipbstark @rad_atl Signing "audits" of the vote outcome, and not correcting the SOS reports, is doing a real disservice (to put it nicely) to the losers in the election. @Voting_Works and @VerifiedVoting are putting their thumbs on the scales.

It will cause a judge to have grounds to throw out an election challenge.

It was only a year ago that voters from all across #GA gathered in the State Capitol to demand that every single vote was counted. And it was only a year ago that while standing in solidarity with my constituents and as a sitting member of the State Senate, I was arrested. 1/4

Dear Media, It is irresponsible to continue pretending we have a system that allows us to know whether or not our “official” election results are legitimate. 1/
2/ The terrible truth is that neither you, nor I, nor any other voter knows what happened inside the electronic voting machines, election management systems, ballot marking devices, and tabulators used to count our votes.

For the last 24 hours I've been texting & calling with refugees in Libya. 500 are apparently stuck in a Tripoli prison w/o food & water after heavy fighting broke out two days ago. They say their guards ran away, leaving them alone.
These refugees are men, women & children. They tried to cross the Mediterranean earlier this year, but were found by Italian boats, who turned them over to the EU-backed Libyan coastguard, who put them in prison. The conditions were already terrible before the fighting started.
Oh the phone earlier I could hear children crying & what sounded like bombing in the distance. The refugees say everyone's incredibly frightened. "We hear machine guns, tanks, big bombs, last night from the roof it was all fire."
