In fact, voters who are “Left Behind” vote for Democrats, who win the majority of lower-income votes.

But if you pretend white people are the only people who count, like the New York Times does, you end up with headlines like this.
That headline is basically a campaign ad for Donald Trump, and it's false. Hell of a job, New York Times.
It’s a day later and this false @NYTimes headline is still live online with no correction, because the New York Times is bad.

(The headline isn’t the only problem; the conflation of places with people is a core analytical flaw.)
Also take a look at these two @nytimes paragraphs.

Republicans have long identified themselves “with economic prosperity,” while Democrats have been “accused of working to keep the poor poor.”

This is jaw-droopingly biased and sleazy.
@nytimes You should contact the New York Times about this and demand a correction, but you should also ask @NancyPelosi, @SenSchumer & @DNC to do the same. The Times feels free to publish crap like this as news because they face no blowback from Democratic leaders.
A whole bunch of y’all work for Democratic party committees, members of congress, and candidates.

Have any of you, or your bosses, contacted the @NYTimes about this portrayal of the political party you belong to and work for?

If not, why not?

I dunno, maybe I should create a progressive media watchdog organization to push back on this crap.
Always keep in mind: I am not funny.

At the @NYTimes, “both sides” means “print the Republicans’ view of both sides.”
