White House aide Larry Kudlow said the CDC is sending experts to China to help out, at China's invitation.
"We've been working with the World Health Organization to try to get through this as rapidly as possible," he said.
He waffled a bit. He said some airlines are doing so voluntarily, and acknowledged ongoing discussions.
"I don't want to get ahead of that story, there's a lot of discussions going on one way or another," he said. "If there are other announcements coming out, they'll come out."
"Public health is going to stand alone" as an issue, he told Fox Business earlier. America will do everything it can to solve this ASAP, he told the network.
"We're very much involved with them, right now, on the virus that’s going around. We're working very closely. I spoke to President Xi. We're working very closely with China," Trump said.
The White House hasn't said when they spoke, and hasn't yet released a "readout" of a call, as is customary when Trump calls a foreign leader.
