Listening to NPR this morning, where they described it as a “wide-ranging” speech and mentioned specific topics like Iran and impeachment but carefully omit the insane stuff. This is one way the media strives to present Trump as a normal President.
You can listen to the clip here: it’s unclear how the media should cover this in a way that stops short of saying that the President seems unwell

The broader story here is how the state GOP has taken control over the election processes and is using that control for partisan advantage 2/

CMS released details today on their latest attempt to undermine #Medicaid. It's called the Health Adult Opportunity (HAO) Program. The euphemism filled "fact sheet" they posted is designed to obscure the purpose & consequences of HAO. Let me break it down. shar.es/a3O5J7
Notice that the "opportunity" here is for states. The emphasis is on giving states "flexibility"--something they already have an immense amount of when it comes to #Medicaid. Beneficiaries are not explicitly mentioned until the end of the intro paragraph, barely an afterthought.
Flexibility is mentioned 8 times in this short fact sheet. It sounds harmless enough, so what is the big deal? Well, look at what the flexibility will be used for. Most of these things represent additional burdens on Medicaid beneficiaries or reductions to the Medicaid program.

1) NEW THREAD directed to the thousands of new #Trump supporters who have followed me over the last week because of events in #Syria. I want to take this opportunity to make you consider things you are not aware of because of the bias mainstream media, which you guys know exist
2) in the US if you consider there reporting of Trump, especially pre-election. Many of you describe Assad as a dictatorship and his government as a regime. If we look towards the Syrian Presidential election in 2014, Assad won 88.7% of the votes with a turnout of 73.42%.
3) This is a significant amount of voter turnout considering the last time the US had a higher percentage per capita was in 1896. This would suggest that as the war has progressed and the jihadist element became more evident, the people recognised Assad as a source of stability

Trump's admin has made life exceedingly difficult for people like me who are fighting #cancer & dealing with extreme medical costs.

Obama said in 2009 that he hated watching his mother forced to work to pay bills as she fought for her life.

Many of us are still doing this.
Now Trump wants to make yet another critic of #ACA--the only buffer sick & #disabled Americans have until we get #UHC--head of HHS.

#AlexAzar is an actual lobbyist for #BigPharma.
And cut his legal teeth--he's a lawyer--working for #KenStarr investigating the Clintons.
Anyone who thinks sick/#disabled people are going to get a fair shake under this presidency aren't thinking clearly. And while I know we have more Russia news and
more sexual abuse claims today, this appointment impacts EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN WHO IS NOT RICH and it's barely news.
