The irreducible conclusion one comes to after hearing Trump's *imbecilic defense* is that he's demanding the House, tasked with conducting an impeachment investigation, conduct a trial instead, and the Senate, which is tasked with holding a trial, should hold oral arguments only.
PS/ Trump's defense is so stupendously ignorant and offensively vapid that even if you didn't support an impeachment investigation at all you should be offended by how troglodytic it assumes you are, how categorically *braindead* it presumes you to be, in asking you to believe it
