"Proliferation of self-identified Indigenous people represents "new wave of colonialism" - APTN NewsAPTN News": aptnnews.ca/2018/05/10/pro…
Ever stop & wonder what all this lying is about? Ever heard of how important family is in the Mi'kmaw culture. What in the hell is happening? Why are the Metis people from Nova Scotia, being trashed and humiliated? I know we were allies and family with the Mi'kmaw, we went to war
,hunted, fished, and intermarried back and forth. Has colonialism really gone this far? What exactly is happening here? Native Council Nova Scotia - chief and presidents response to Manitoba Metis Federation- NCNS has been in existence for the off reserve Aboriginal People's for
45 years and do not appreciate being lumped into the so called Eastern Metis. Like Seriously?? This organization was originally the Metis and NonStatus Association for the people who had no voice. I see the NCNS does not have a twitter account. I don't have to wonder hard to know why. Why an organization who originally worked hard for the NonStatus and Metis people of this province has now cut them loose and says there is no Metis in NS .. Their bylaws used to be Metis
and NonStatus, and now it says The objects of the Association are: (a) To aid and assist Native Indian People in Nova Scotia to form local organizations for the purpose of advancing their general living conditions; ncns.ca/wp-content/upl…
However, they allegedly will not let Metis people join that organization. Strange that an organization that grew to be for the people who had no voice are now the ones tossing other people who want to strengthen, learn and re-connect to their own families histories in a time
2020, that it should not even be an issue. So why is it? How do you expect the people of Canada to understand and #reconcilate, when you can't even have a relationship with your own family. cbc.ca/news/indigenou…
We can't even reconcile among ourselves. mikmaqrights - MOU with MNC , Half of this information written in this MOU is demonstrably false.
False statement 1.
Metis were in the Union of Nova Scotia Indian bylaws since the 70's. Metis and NonStatus people are all through the MicmacNews online archive. That is quite a feat for people who never existed. MicmacNews-1973-03.- Constitution and By-Laws UNSI - Metis. sec 3.12 @DarrylLeroux
2.
Are they just as concerned by the NCNS? We know they are, but they have allegedly tried for years to get rid of that organization as well but they are one of CAP's members, who do represent Metis people, even though they choose not to. Apparently CAP has an accord so they are not

so easily trashed as the #EasternMetis are. I have 4 signatories in the Peace and Friendship treaties, the only reason I mention that is to show I know who my family is. I know I have several Mi'kmaw family lines in my family. We have intermarried to the point of consanguinity.
That, many people from southwest NS, needed dispensations from the Catholic church to get married. I am related to almost all of them. An ethnographic report on the Acadian Metis 2018 - Dominique and Anne Mius needed Dispensation - my 4th Great Grandparents, my mom's 3rd great
grandparents and my Nan who self identified as Metis, it would be her 2nd great grandparents. All of these people are Metis. Leroux loves to go on about only having an ancestor in the 1600's. He is full of s**t. I am the only voice who is loud enough to speak out because the gang
that hangs with Leroux, can't hurt me in any way, except for all the name calling ... Ouch !! 😘 (They have made my youngest daughter cry, but it has made me more determined that she will know who she is) I am a strong proud French Acadian Mi'kmaw woman. I will not be silenced
by the likes of that crew. Darryl and trolls, twitter rants against #EasternMetis
3. They are being a bit misleading here, as the MNC loves to be. This is true and false. Partially true as in what they say, as CAP is also as Nationally organization who has an accord as well to represent the Metis people that the MNC doesn't.
Canada and Political Accord with CAP 2018.
Also with number 3. They seem to forget what the Supreme Court of Canada has mentioned in regards to who is Metis in the Daniels decision. I noticed they mentioned Powley but not Daniels. Which is kind of weird when you stop and think about it, that they enjoy the hardships
developed to make the job of identifying Metis communities even harder for a semi Nomadic people ( who also were deported and uprooted ) and that Powley is being used in ways that it was not intended for. Ie identifying who is Metis, it is for identifying who has Sect 35 rights.
There is so much to talk about, and I get passionate about it. So many different directions this subject can go. It is all controversial for many reasons, although I think that most of it is purely made up and could be easily sorted through, with some honest talk and dealings.
Like this, don't get me wrong, I think it is sweet he found his family. I am not the one going around calling people a #raceshifter. I haven't seen one word from him about this. Why?
Apparently if you are rich and famous you get a pass from Leroux. - He only picks on poor people. 😠

It makes me wonder what else is not true, as they tried to extinguish rights in the West for the half-breeds using the Scrip system. That didn't work. Look at the millions the MNC has been handed. So many mysteries to be solved on this path to re-connecting to my kinships.
Hard journey to take, knowing how many are against us. Which I find weird in itself. Are there problems with Indigenous identities being taken by people who are not Indigenous? Yes, there are and yes they need to be dealt with, but I have never heard of people of culture who
knowingly denigrate another's culture (a whole culture) without some acknowledgement of it, especially with written recorded history of it. protocols on, should scream volumes. That it doesn't, also says more than words ever could. The silence is deafening by people who know better. People who normally stand up and scream at the slightest injustice, are allowing this to happen. It will not go down well in the
books of history, those who participated in trying to destroy another people. I say trying, because whether we ever get acknowledged by the gov or not.
