My take away from this is:
1. The Average Indian loves India and its territorial integrity
2. The BJP has communicated well to the lowest economic sections of society
3. The poor believe in a L & O state. Hence the driver took him to the cops.

Old school leftists had a stranglehold on the lower economic sections. But Indians are patriotic. What these lal salaam types & their lite versions supporters don't realise is if the choice is them and India' territorial integrity they'll always choose the latter.
To me this incident is a small indication that for the average Indian there are some non negotiable namely
1. India' territorial integrity
2. Democracy
3. Their Hindu identity
That is why these leftists keep losing. They're out of touch with reality.
