Kids from 8-12 self-report spending a little under 5 hours a day in front of screens, while teens spend just under seven and a half hours’ worth...but those from higher-income families spend about 1:45 less each day on screens than those from lower-income families.
Meanwhile, despite the fact that YouTube says it is only for those 13+, 76% of 8- to 12-year-olds say they use the site.

(Now, to be fair, there is a little ambiguity in the wording of that first stat - maybe parents are manually inspecting the phone and not relying on any “app or other tool”! Or maybe they are doing it so surreptitiously that their kids are unaware of it! - but parents…yikes…)
