#Information cascade alert!

The US #intelligence agencies are supposed to reveal all information they have with respect to the #OriginOfCovid

I wanted to use the opportunity to explain exactly what you will see happening in the media, no matter the content of those reports
🧵 Image
First, let's talk about expectations.

From the get-go, it is absolutely clear that there is no #smoking gun or similar to be expected.

The intelligence services all had access to the same information and most assessments are low confidence, with 4 agencies favoring #zoonosis. Image
Within the 'manmade' mythology, too many unverified stories are taken as gospel truth.

Overall, the best LLs can hope for is that the IC can verify some #circumstantial evidence that they have spun into their #mythology; but honestly, I highly doubt that.

"He was very fit Sir"
60y guy. Heart attack 2y ago. Multiple blocks - advised bypass surgery. Didn't get it done. Medication stopped. Took herbal treatment. No follow up with Cardiologist. Now presented with cardiac arrest. Brain dead. What many people think as "fit" - just means……
So when people say somebody vert fit or apparently healthy died suddenly, I always take it with a pinch of salt because many a times, underlying health conditions existed and were ignored and not taken care of. Commonest being uncontrolled #Diabetes or #hypertension.
Not all coronary artery disease patients need angioplasty or surgery, but strict control of blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes becomes super important. Plus regular exercise and diet control. Follow up with a Cardiologist to keep a check needed too on a regular basis.

Elevated #Homocysteine levels increase the risk of #stroke

1. Homocysteine (Hcy) is a sulfur-containing amino acid produced by the demethylation of the essential amino acid methionine, and the normal level is 5-15 µmol/L. High Hcy levels can increase the risk of stroke.
2. Total Hcy elevations above 15 µmol/L are an independent risk factor for ischemic stroke.
The risk of stroke is two times higher in people with Hcy >15 µmol/L as compared to those with Hcy level <10 µmol/L.

3. The risk of #death is 43% higher in patients with ischemic stroke, who have elevated Hcy levels.
Hcy is not only a risk factor for, but is also correlated with, stroke severity, worse #prognosis, and stroke recurrence.

If VLNC helps some people stop smoking, I will be glad to see it. I'm concerned about sending people the wrong message about nicotine. I'm going to park some random thoughts throughout the day in this 🧵, as I work on the @SaferWiki VLN page.…
Some people are concerned when people making the switch from smoking to vaping dual use. What happens if people dual use cigarettes and VLNC? Is smoking less/day a good thing? Is it reducing harm? Some against vaping have said "no". Image
3/🧵… (page 6)
My concern is sending consumers the wrong message about nicotine. It's not the nicotine that causes death and disease. If someone likes smoking and doesn't want to quit they need to understand that VLNC isn't safer, it's less addictive. Image
