My personal mantra of "wallet, phone, keys" is changing. Those were always the three things I needed whenever I went out, but lately I frequently leave my wallet behind. My credit card, licences, travel cards, etc. are all on my phone. Phone and keys. It's weird.
Before long, there'll be driverless cars amd electronic locks on buildings amd we won't need keys any more. Just a phone.
Then all that phone tech will be embedded in us and we won't need a thing. We'll be biological hives of information and wireless and Bluetooth.
But in a perfect example of why this is bullshit, my phone has started randomly autocorrecting and to amd. Good times. The future is stupid.
I've been thinking more about this today. I've always had a wallet, since I was a little kid taking tuck shop money to school. Even before I carried my own keys. Then it was wallet and keys, then wallet, keys and phone. Now just keys and phone. It's weird.
I got a new wallet last year. It's probably the last one I'll ever buy. Won't someone think of the wallet makers?
