1/6 I hope I can find the strength and the right words for what is a rather emotional Tweet. Some may dismiss this as anecdotal evidence, but for each case of statin damage, there is a human life which has been harmed by this drug.
2/6 Some have lost their health and their livelihood, others their lives as a result of using statins. I have been researching these drugs since my father was so badly harmed by them 12 years ago. His brother also on 80mg of Lipitor was diagnosed with ALS and died 2 yrs later
3/6 I am on several statins forums (some with in excess of 20,000 members). I have made many friends all over the world and witnessed numerous cases of ALS, Parkinson’s disease, Necrotizing Myopathy and other horrendous “statin induced side effects”.
4/6 One friend stands out above all the rest because he had to make the brave decision to end his own life by assisted suicide. Before he left he wrote the following letter to his doctor. He wanted his doctor to MAKE A DIFFERENCE !
5/6 I don’t know if his doctor followed through on his case, but I feel I owe it to him to try and MAKE A DIFFERENCE. This insanity has to stop. The science behind the mechanism of action of statin drugs is very clear. There can be no more excuses. RT’s would be welcomed.
