Aside from the obvious point that it’s not my money and spending priorities, I’d just reiterate my earlier question: What, specifically, should the $ pay for? Not “what strategies are needed” in general, but literally WHO gets a check to do WHAT?
@solenodon @dotcommodity Say you want to support “housing near public transit.” At Bloomberg we funded cities direct through lots of programs, in part to help cities implement their own transit/housing policies. You could also fund local orgs. Or fund (or create?) a green, low-income housing developer.
@solenodon @dotcommodity In each of these hypotheticals, the problem remains: there aren’t necessarily enough grant recipients out there to actually spend $10B effectively to achieve whatever your chosen policy intervention might be. If you do it yourself (i.e. build housing) the $ goes pretty quick!
