Some interesting data on Credit Cards market in India

1. Top 6 banks command 80% market share of cards in force.
2. HDFC Bank has 1.37 Cr cards in force followed by SBI at 98 lac credit cards.
3. HDFC Bank commands a market share of 25% of total cards issued.
4. Citibank customers do an avg of 6 transactions a month.
5. American Express has highest Card Spend per Customer per month at Rs 24,284.
6. Avg transaction value per card swipe is highest for Indusind at Rs 6994.
7. By count - 29% of all POS
transactions go through HDFC
cards. Rest

Anatomy of a new scam. Don't fall prey to this

1. You get a call saying ur PayTm (or any other wallet/bank) KYC is invalid
2. Caller says u can do it online in 2 min and ur wallet will be active again
3. Says give guide u
All ok till now. Now the scam begins
4. Says u need to just transfer Rs. 1 to ur PayTm wallet/UPI etc
5. Tells u to download an app like QuickSupport (perfectly legit app for support)
But this is where they take control of ur phone.
Now sitting in Ghaziabad he has complete view of ur phone screen
6. As he guides to transfer Rs. 1, they are also simultaneously initiating txns of larger amounts from ur bank
7. U get multiple OTPs & they have access to them as they have control ur phone
8. U think u r transferring Re. 1. In reality, multiple txns are being initiated

As per SEBI data, the total outstanding corporate bonds in India aggregate to ~ Rs. 30.63 lakh crore.

This is about one third the size of the G-Sec market as well as the aggregate of Bank credit (i.e. total outstanding loans of banks). 2/12
The accumulated value of all the Corporate Bonds outstanding is only about 16% of the GDP.

In comparison, the size of the US corporate bond market to GDP is ~124%. It shows that the corporates in India rely heavily on banks. 3/12
